Organizing an international scientific conference: SOLGEL 2024 in Berlin

The 22nd edition of the SOLGEL conference, organized on behalf of the International Sol-Gel Society (iSgS), took place in Berlin in 2024. This major scientific conference in the field of chemistry was chaired by Professor Nicola Pinna, who chose PremC for our professionalism and successful experience in previous collaborations.

PremC was responsible for the complete management of the event, including:

Overall logistics (venue selection and booking, coordination of service providers)
Financial management and budget tracking
Marketing and communication
Setting up platforms (website, abstract submission, registration, accommodation booking)
Organizing social activities and the gala dinner
On-site management (staff, oral and poster sessions)

Our added value

PremC managed all non-scientific aspects of the conference, ensuring smooth coordination between service providers and stakeholders. We demonstrated flexibility by adjusting our services to accommodate fluctuations in participant numbers while adhering to the budget despite the post-COVID challenges.

We also made sure to maintain familiar standards for regular participants and met the specific requirements set by the iSgS committee. In addition, we efficiently managed the logistics of a five-day event, plus a preliminary workshop, ensuring the seamless coordination of parallel sessions, both oral and poster presentations.

We particularly enjoyed working on SOLGEL 2024 for its international scope and the unique challenges it presented. Our ability to manage such a large-scale scientific conference while adapting to budget constraints and meeting the specific expectations of the scientific community was greatly appreciated.
