Our story

Sometimes, an encounter at university marks the start of a remarkable journey. For Samuel and Charif, our two protagonists, their meeting at Centrale Nantes—a prestigious French engineering school—sparked just that.

Yeah, French people are quite pretentious

From that very first day, a strong friendship began to grow. Although their careers took them down different paths after graduation, it only took a few years for their shared ambitions to bring them back together on an exciting new project: PremC.

One day, Charif’s father, a scientific researcher, was expressing his frustration about the challenges and time-consuming nature of organizing a scientific conference. In that moment, inspiration struck: Samuel and Charif realized they had uncovered a real opportunity.

And so began an intensive phase of market research, observation, and deep learning about the field—a period that may have seemed long and tedious but was essential to laying the groundwork for their vision.

We are now in 2015, and their first conference has launched. Its success was undeniable, though a few adjustments were needed—experience, after all, comes with practice. With each round of feedback, debriefing, challenges, and memorable stories.

Like the legend of the phoenix, we rose from our ashes. The global pandemic may have paused in-person conferences, but it drove us to create a new way to bring people together.
