General Information
When and where is the symposium taking place?
The symposium will be held at Sorbonne Université in Paris, from September 1st to 5th. More details are available here.
Registration
Is registration still open?
Registration is currently opened. There is no limit date but early bird rates are available until June 2d only. Please not that the registration can only be done online.
What are the registration fees and what do they include?
Registration fees are listed on the EMC Europe website. Early bird registration is available until June 2nd.
How do I register for the symposium?
Registration is available on the EMC Europe website.
Are there discounts for students?
Yes, discounts are available for students. A valid school certificate is required to qualify for the student rate.
Travel and Accommodation
Do you offer any travel grants or support?
The local organizing committee may decide to allocate partial support in very specific and few cases only. Please address your specific and motivated request to [email protected].
How do I get to the venue using public transportation?
The venue is in the heart of Paris and accessible by two metro lines at the Jussieu station (7 and 10). More information can be found here.
Is there an official invitation letter for visa purposes?
Upon request, the conference organizers will provide an official letter of invitation in order to facilitate your visa application. Details are available on the VISA section of the website.
Are there recommended hotels nearby?
Paris offers a wide range of hotels. You can book a room close to the conference venue here. However, make sure to make your reservations as early as possible, Paris being a very popular place for visitors in September.
Do I need a visa to attend the symposium in France?
All foreign nationals entering and staying in France must have a valid entry and stay visa, unless you are exempt from this requirement.
On-site Experience
Will there be a welcome desk or information point at the venue?
A welcome desk will be available at the conference for the entire week of the symposium. You’ll be able to collect your badge and your welcome package.
Are meals and refreshments included during the event?
Lunches and coffee breaks are included with the registration.
Is there Wi-Fi available at the venue?
The eduroam service is available in the conference center. A dedicated network will also be deployed during the conference. Login details will be provided at the beginning of the symposium.
Is there a mobile app or program guide for the symposium?
The full program will be available here and updated on a mobile app.
Program and Sessions
Where can I find the full program schedule?

What are the formats of the sessions (keynotes, panels, workshops, etc.)?
Sessions are composed of Workshop and Tutorials (mainly on Monday and Friday) and of regular, special and poster sessions from Tuesday to Thursday. The opening ceremony on Tuesday Morning will be followed by two keynote speeches on two selected topics with high challenges for the future, namely artificial intelligence and sustainable electronics and their impact on EMC.
Will the sessions be recorded or streamed online?
The sessions will not be recorded.
Will presentation slides or abstracts be shared afterward?
An online booklet containing all accepted papers will be provided to attendees. Presentations slides will not be distributed after the symposium. All manuscripts associated with communication presented in regular, special, and poster sessions will be available on the IEEE Xplore data base.
Networking and Social Events
Are there networking sessions or social events planned?
Yes, networking and social events will be held in the evenings during the symposium. A list of all the events is available here.
Can I schedule meetings with other attendees in advance?
Conference rooms will be available for the attendees to arrange meetings during the event.
Is there a conference dinner or cultural activity?
The gala dinner will be held at Les Pavillons de Bercy on September 3rd. Additional optional activities are also planned during the symposium. A list of all the events is available here.
Post-Symposium
Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
The conference organizer provides a certificate of participation and an invoice.
