Access to Grand Large:

The entrance for participants is located at 1 quai Duguay Trouin – 35400 Saint Malo, France.

 

Train:

  •  From Paris Montparnasse railway station (Paris city centre)
        • Take a direct TGV train to Saint-Malo (2h15 trip).
        • Take a TGV train to Rennes, then a connection to Saint-Malo (around 2h30 trip, connection train TER Bretagne).
  • From other cities in France
        • Several Direct TGV trains to Rennes are available from: Lille (3h30), Roissy CDG Airport (2h30), Massy (1h35), Strasbourg (4h50), Lyon (4h), Marseille (6h). Once in Rennes: take a connection to Saint- Malo (train TER Bretagne 45 to 60 min).

Plane:

  •  Landing at Roissy Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airport, you may either:
        • Take a TGV train to Rennes and then a connection to Saint-Malo (around 3h30 trip – 3 direct trains to Rennes per day).
        • Take an Air France bus shuttle or RER train then RATP metro to Paris Montparnasse railway station and then take a TGV to Saint-Malo.
        • Rent a car in the airport for a 4h30 trip by motorways A11/A13 (via Rennes) or A13/A84 (via Caen).
    • Landing at Orly airport, you may either:
        • Take an Air France bus shuttle to Paris Montparnasse railway station and then take a TGV train to Saint-Malo (either direct or via Rennes)
        • Rent a car at the airport for a 4h30 trip by motorways A11/A13 (via Rennes) or A13/A84 (via Caen)
  •  Landing at Rennes – Saint Jacques Airport, you may either:
        • Take a taxi or a bus to Rennes railway station. The bus station is located in front of the terminal: take line STAR C6 to station Musée des Beaux-Arts, then 10 min walk to the railway station. Then take a TER or TGV train to Saint-Malo.
        • Rent a car or take a taxi. Saint-Malo is 75 km away, less than 1-hour trip.

Car:                                                                           

  • From Paris: 3.5 hours by motorways :
        • A11/A13 (through Rennes)
        • A13/A84 (through Caen)
  • From Rennes:1 hour by motorway
  • From Nantes: 2 hours by motorway

Passport and Visa

All foreign nationals entering and staying in France must be in possession of a valid entry and stay visa, unless you are exempt from this requirement.

Upon request, the conference organizers could provide an official letter of invitation in order to facilitate your visa application. This invitation letter does not imply any commitment from the Organizing Committee to provide any kind of financial contribution.

The request should be made by e-mail and must include:

  • First name (as shown in passport)
  • Last name (as shown in passport)
  • Passport number
  • Country of citizenship
  • Affiliation (supported by a document certifying it)
