The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is a global publisher with a mix of transformative journals, open access journals, books and data products. Our mission is to be a digital-first publisher focused on delivering high quality impactful, accessible content and an excellent customer experience.
As a learned society we are concerned with advancing chemistry as a science, developing its applications, and disseminating chemical knowledge. Our publishing activities operate on a not-for- profit basis, and all surplus generated is re-invested into schemes which benefit all members of the chemical science community.
We recently committed to publishing all of our fully-owned journals 100% Open Access within five years.
