Launched in January 2007, Nature Photonics is a monthly journal dedicated to the exciting fields of optics and photonics, publishing top-quality, peer-reviewed research in all areas of light generation, manipulation and detection. Coverage extends from research into the fundamental properties of light and how it interacts with matter through to the latest designs of photonic devices and emerging applications that exploit photons. Both fundamental optical physics and applied photonics technologies, such as nonlinear optics, ultrafast photonics, quantum optics, plasmonics, metamaterials, nanophotonics, imaging, photovoltaics and optical communications, are covered.
