INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

The following information is provided to assist speakers in the preparation of their presentation and all participants to ensure a technically smooth virtual and face-to-face conference.

FOR VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS

–

ZOOM use : Please note that the ZOOM software will be used during this conference. We have produced a tutorial that explains how to use ZOOM. If you are not familiar with this software, we strongly recommend that you do a test before the conference. Our team is available now to help you and schedule a test with you under real conditions. To do so, simply send an email to confpresseIRD-solutions@premc.org

Name yourself : Please enter your first and last name as your ZOOM username. If you represent a country or institution, please indicate this and then follow with your name. A tutorial explaining how to rename yourself is available.

Ask a question : Please note that not all virtual participants can turn on their microphone. To ask a question during the Q&A session, simply use the instant messenger (“Chat” button) and a moderator will relay your question to the speakers.

Interpretation : Please choose the audio channel corresponding to the language of your choice. A button called “Simultaneous translation” will be available in the menu at the bottom of your ZOOM window. Just click on it and choose the language. Two options are available: English and French. A tutorial is available to explain how to use interpretation in ZOOM.

FOR IN PERSON PARTICIPANTS

–

Conference room : The address of the conference venue is here.

Interpretation : Headsets will be available if you wish to follow the conference in English or French only. You will be asked to leave a piece of identification when you collect your helmet.
