Third Meeting of the Barcelona Convention Offshore Oil and Gas Group (OFOG) Sub-Group on Environmental Impact
The Third meeting of the Barcelona Convention Offshore Oil and Gas Group (OFOG) Sus-Group on Environmental Impact will be held remotely from Thursday 3 June to Friday 4 June 2021.
The principal objectives of the meeting are:
.1 to review and provide further guidance on the key outcomes that have been prepared or updated in the current biennium in relation to the implementation of the Mediterranean Offshore Protocol; and
.2 to review and approve the following documents for consideration at the 22nd Meeting of the Contracting Parties (COP 22, Antalya, Turkey, 7-10 December 2021): i. revised Mediterranean Offshore Guidelines for the Conduct of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and ii. amended Annexes to the Mediterranean Offshore Protocol; and
.3 to inform on the progress of the implementation of the Mediterranean Offshore Action Plan and the development of a comprehensive plan of actions required for its long-term sustainable implementation process.
