Fourteenth Meeting of the Focal Points of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC); 31 May – 2 June 2021
The Fourteenth Meeting of the Focal Points of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC), will be held remotely from Monday 31 May to Wednesday 2 June 2021.
The principal objectives of the Meeting are:
1.to examine the implementation of the Programme of Work of REMPEC since the Thirteenth Meeting of the Focal Points of REMPEC (Floriana, Malta, 11-13 June 2019); and
2.to discuss and agree upon the proposed Programme of Work of REMPEC for the biennium 2022-2023, prior to its submission, for approval by the next Meeting of the UNEP/MAP Focal Points (Athens, Greece, 14-17 September 2021), and for adoption by the Twenty-Second Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention and its Protocols (COP 22) (Antalya, Turkey, 7-10 December 2021).

The working room is an area where participants can meet to discuss in small groups and private way. From 1-to-1 meeting, up to discussions including 10 people. All you have to do is to move your avatar close to the avatar of the person that you would like to talk with and an audio-video discussion will start immediately
It is necessary to preserve human interactions as much as possible. Therefore, a member of the technical organization team will be at your disposal at the Reception Desk to answer all your questions throughout the conference.

The plenary session will start on May 31st at 10 AM (CEST, Central European Summer Time)
