Welcome to the Interdisciplinary Market Studies Workshop, IMSW 2021
Dear IMSW 2021 Participants,
It is our greatest pleasure to welcome you to the sixth edition of Interdisciplinary Market Studies Workshop, IMSW 2021.
After the previous successful editions in Sigtuna (Sweden, 2010), Dublin (Ireland, 2012), Saint Maximin (France, 2014), Saint Andrews (Scotland, 2016), Copenhague (Denmark, 2018), our sixth edition was supposed to take place in Grenoble in 2020. Unfortunately, the worldwide covid19 pandemic did not allow us to organize an in-person conference, and, together with the organizers, we decided instead to postpone this edition to a fully online conference in 2021. We know that it will never replace a face-to-face conference, but we think it is better than nothing and it will provide an opportunity to gather the interdisciplinary market studies and to share the exciting new developments that took place in the world in recent years.
IMSW was launched in 2010. We will celebrate its 10th anniversary (+1!) this year. This will be an opportunity for us to remember the foundational values of this workshop and to look forward to an exciting and fruitful future.
We are also inaugurating a PhD Day to which we invite you to come numerous. The PhD allows young researchers to benefit from a more in-depth discussion of a thesis project, chapter or other intermediate work. All colleagues, PhD and non-PhD, are invited to discuss their work at this workshop.
We tried our best to prepare an inspiring scientific program, and we would like to address a special thank to Marieke de Goede and Bret Christophers, our keynote speakers, to contribute through challenging thoughts to market studies progress.
We would also like to thank the local committee – Flavie Genatio, Vincent Jourdain, Thibault Fonteneau, Jean Finez, Sidonie Naulin, Jean-François Ponsot, Thomas Reverdy, Victor Potier – who did a fantastic and hard job to organize the workhop. We also thanks PremC team for the perfect organization of the online conference.
This year is very unusual for all of us, and this will reflect in the organization of this online conference. Despite the distance, we encourage you to be active, ask questions, share ideas, and use all the tools that are at your disposal to facilitate networking in order to make IMSW 2021 a success.
Let´s get started. Enjoy the conference!

This dashboard has been built with the target of duplicating the same environment as an in-person conference, you will find below the usual conference areas: welcome desk, conference rooms…
Each participant will be able to join the area she/he is interested in by simply clicking on the corresponding button.
It is very important to keep a maximum of human interactions, that is why a welcome desk room where you can talk with a staff member is available to help you.
If you encounter any technical issue to connect to the welcome desk room then use the chat room, it should appear on the bottom right corner of this page during the conference days.
The conference will start on Wednesday 2nd of June at 9:00 A.M
