Before reading this FAQ, we kindly invite you to read the instructions for participants where you will find most of the needed information. Also, we kindly invite you to read our tutorial how to use ZOOM, which explains step by step the process.
What is a dashboard ?
The dashboard gives you access to the different areas of an usual conference. This is supposed to be the lobby of your conference. You will have access to the Plenary Room, Welcome Desk, the Poster area, the Netowrking area and the Press area.
How do I know which room I have to join to see a speech?
On the program, you will see the name of the room where the speech is given (Plenary room, Poster rooms…).
I'm not living in the CET zone, how do I know at which time a given speech is being presented?
Click here to calculate your time difference. You can also check the conference program adjusted to your time zone in the conference app.
How can I join a room?
On the dashboard, you will see buttons named “Click here to join”…, by clicking on it, you will be redirected to a ZOOM room, that you will be able to have access from your browser or the ZOOM application.
I need a password to have access to the Oral Presentation Rooms, where can I find it?
You will receive the password by email from the committee.
How can I get assistance from the conference staff?
The staff would be glad to help you if you are facing any technical issue, you can reach us at any time at med2020@premc.org. A welcome desk room will be also available from 8 AM (CET) to the end of the conference day. to provide you with face-to-face help. If you are not able to use ZOOM at all, there will be a chat available on the right bottom corner of the Dashboard page.
How can I arrange a meeting with an another participant in a ZOOM room to network?
Once you are registered, you will be able to access the participants list by using the conference app, no need to set up anything. You have also the opportunity to check the program in your own timezone and build your customized version by selecting the sessions that you are interested in.
How can I reach the presenting author of a given poster in order to discuss his/her work?
On the Poster area you will see buttons named “Join the author” next to each poster. By clicking on this button, you will be able to reach the author. Please note that the room will be open and the author will be there only during the corresponding poster session (to see the program)
