Before reading this FAQ, we kindly invite you to read the instructions for participants where you will find most of the needed information. Also, we kindly invite you to read our tutorial How to use ZOOM, which explains step by step the process.
What is a dashboard ?
The dashboard gives you access to the different areas of an usual conference. This is supposed to be the lobby of your conference. You will have access to the Plenary Room and the Welcome Desk.
I'm not living in the CET zone, how do I know at which time a given speech is being presented?

How can I get assistance from the conference staff?
The staff would be glad to help you if you are facing any technical issue, you can reach us at any time at medecc2023_coastalrisks@premc.org. A welcome desk room will be also available from 8.30 A.M (CET) to the end of the conference day. to provide you with face-to-face help. If you are not able to use ZOOM at all, there will be a chat available on the right bottom corner of the Dashboard page.
How to select my preferred language to follow the meeting?
A button named “Interpretation” should be visible on the bottom menu of your ZOOM application, just click on it and select your language. Two options will be available: English and French.
How to speak and ask questions?
A session chair will be leading the discussions, the participants will be able to speak and ask their questions thanks to the ZOOM raising hand button. All participants will be muted by default, so please wait for the session chair to unmute you before start speaking. Please note that the participants will speak in the order in which their hands were raised. The Q&A option maybe used to ask questions on the document only if for technical reasons it is impossible for you to ask question verbally (for example low quality of the connection).
How can I join a room?
On the dashboard, you will see the button named “Click to join room”…, by clicking on it, you will be redirected to a ZOOM room, that you will be able to have access from your ZOOM application.
How to access the document streaming link?
On the dashboard, you will see a button named “Click to check the document”. By clicking on it, you will be redirected to the document streaming that will open in your browser. For optimal comfort, it is recommended to display the zoom window and the document streaming link on separate screens.
I need a password to have access to plenary consultation documents, where can I find it ?
You will receive the password by email from the MedECC Secretariat.

On the home page of this website, you may find a link to the Summary for Policymakers of the MedECC Special Report on Climate and environmental coastal risks in the Mediterranean that will be discussed during the meeting. This document streaming link should be opened via your browser. For optimal comfort, it is recommended to display the window with the document and the window with Zoom on a separate screen.
Do I need a ZOOM account?
Yes, you need a ZOOM account to access the conference in order to identify each participant.
